Although all of Home Team BBQ's restaurants strive to create the same fun, friendly, and food-filled atmosphere, each is unique, not only due to their location. From varied menu items, to the music they play or the decorations on the walls, the ambiance is an important part of the allure of Home Team.
In West Ashley, the atmosphere is rustic and laid back with corregated metal paneling, gas lanterns, and nostalgic memorabilia that evoke the spirit of the old honky-tonks and juke-joints strewn throughout the southeastern U.S. Two outside porches create a “back-yard” feeling, perfect for hosting special events and catered parties. On Mondays, the restaurant is filled with the melodies of original songs created by up and coming, as well as established musical acts, providing a forum for new and innovative music exposure. Although the West Ashley restaurant is Georgia Bulldog through and through, you can find a variety of sports on the big screen daily.
With the beach only a block away, the Sullivan’s Island restaurant appeals to sun-kissed beach-goers, families, and partiers alike. Rock ‘n’ Roll posters and Sullivan’s Island artifacts line the walls in this casual spot. Guests can enjoy a tasty frozen beverage at the open window bar, take refuge from the sun by grabbing some ‘que out on the covered porch, or come inside to listen to regularly scheduled live music from local and national artists like the Davis Coen Trio. If music isn't their scene, our barbeque fans can also root for their 'home team' on TV, and even entertain themselves and others by participating in Team Trivia Tuesdays as a change of pace.
Downtown guests can find themselves at the 35 seat bar to sip on one of the innovative craft cocktails, choose from the extensive whisky collection, or just grab a beer to watch the game. This largest of the Home Team BBQ restaurants, donned with reclaimed materials from two barns in Athens, Georgia, is a frequent lunch spot for locals during the day, a great dinner spot for families in the evening, and a happening late night spot for drinks and grub as guests enjoy the music stylings of national and regional talent from the shipping container stage outside. Fido is even welcome in our huge courtyard area with picnic table seating and plenty of fresh Charleston air.
