Siegel tells Eater Charleston that Home Team leased the building immediately next to the store on Middle Street, which has been a dentist office for years. The idea is to create a local market in the 600-square-foot space. The store will sell Charleston beers, wines, bulk candy, and other local food and retail items. “People will be able to pick up products that they can use,” says Siegel. Target at beach-goers and residents, Middle Street Market will save many folks a trip back over the Ben Sawyer Bridge to find provisions.
