Tucked into the base of Buttermilk Mountain, Home Team BBQ originated in Charleston, South Carolina. The flagship, opened by chef Aaron Siegel—who lived in Aspen for a stint and worked under chef Chris Lanter at Cache Cache—has been so successful that the duo is introducing its secret sauce to Aspen.

The executive chef and co-owner of one of Aspen’s most popular high-end restaurants is partnering with a college buddy to open a new Home Team barbecue restaurant at Buttermilk.

Home Team BBQ’s next location will be located clear across the country, but the Southern restaurant ought to feel right at home alongside Buttermilk Mountain.
